After foreclosing in 2011 on the De La Torres mortgage and purchasing the home as a credit bid at the nonjudicial auction sale, the De La Torres remained as tenants in sufferance and filed bankruptcy which ended around 2016. In 2017, the Kingwood River HOA sued BONYM for a years assessments of $700 and this case ended in a default judgment and sale order by Sheriff.
