Cenlar FSB Counsel: Shelley Hopkins, Hopkins Law, PLLC
Below there’s detail on 14 (wrongful) foreclosure cases in Texas, which either started or were snap removed to federal court from state court by Cenlar FSB.
Out of the 14 cases, 11 of them were assigned to BDF Hopkins and drilling that down a bit more, it shows on the docket at least, which ain’t always reliable, that 8 of those cases were joint BDF Hopkins filings, 2 only listed Hopkins and 1 only listed BDF.
The other law firms who were assigned include, 1 case for Husch Blackwell LLP, 1 case for Bradley and 1 case for Codilis.
As you’ll see in LIT’s analysis, there’s a few cases listing Citimortgage. Citimortgage is a subsidiary Citigroup Inc, and according to Wikipedia is “an American multinational investment banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City”. The parent company company has a number of subsidiaries including Citibank.
This relationship is important because it was spawned during the greatest theft of residential homes in American history, the 2008 financial crisis. Familiar names associated with this brand include Steve “Foreclosure King” Mnuchin and Joseph ‘Joe’ Otting and “that” IndyMac purchase.
Otting was president, CEO, and a board member of OneWest Bank, N.A.,from October 2010 until August 2015, when the bank merged with CIT Group, which purchased OneWest Bank for $3.4 billion, following regulatory approval. He served as President of CIT Bank and co-president of CIT Group from August 2015 to December 2015.
And then there’s the Zitoun case below, which lists “Ally Bank“, which was part of the biggest collapse come bailout of a pseudo-owned government entity, known back in the day as GMAC Rescap.
In short, what you have here is BDF Hopkins, who are – and continue to be – well received, supported and protected by the Government and Wall Street as their key thieves – the bounty hunters and foreclosure lawyers who stole citizens homes with fake documents, lies and corrupt practices, endorsed by the judiciary.
And that’s why 80% of foreclosures for Cenlar FSB were conducted by BDF Hopkins – LIT has proven them to be cheats, liars and thieves time and time again, but without recourse, they are immune from accountability as the government and Wall St. protect their own.
Beware, if your mortgage is serviced with Cenlar FSB, it’s time to reconsider your options, unless your job and mortgage payments are 125% secure as we hurtle towards the next great recession.
