While researching Jennifer Grant’s purported unauthorized practice of law, we came across Belinda Puntanen (“BP”) – who’s suing Jen Grant in Court 11 before Judge Hawkins. Whilst reviewing that case we find that BP has two prior cases for none other than – unauthorized practice of law – with the latest in 2014 resulting in a default judgment.

My background

🧨     It might be a tad obvious, but Madam Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is my idol, hands down. She is arguably the greatest jurist of all time, particularly for women’s rights. Inspired by her embodiment as the fiercest champion of Truth and Justice, I vowed to myself long ago to ALWAYS fight as fiercely as possible for Truth and Justice at any cost – even when doing so (pretty frequently) comes at a higher personal cost.

Without question, the lessons, values, grace and dedication she provided benefited countless people. Counting myself among them, her legacy aroused my significant personal evolution and has carried me through darkness. These are just a few of the reasons I gratefully honor her legacy and dedicate this first page to her Honor.

An important note as to my motivation for my writings and creation of this website is that, while our experiences shape us, we choose our responses to them. As such, I will fearlessly respond to them armored with so many of her lessons. Among my favorites taken from her words, “Whatever you choose to do, leave tracks. That means don’t do it just for yourself. You will want to leave the world a little better for your having lived.”  My favorite lesson – fully internalized and conscientiously lived by daily (lately, many days on an hourly basis lived by consciously and conscientiously) – comes from her direction, “Fight for the things that you care about. But do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”

From these and other lessons, from my personal and professional experiences, and choosing to respond accordingly by making tracks and wanting to leave the world a little better, I decided to create this website. Today it may seem vastly personal at first blush, but it is not and nor will it ever be. I have already publicly pledged to dedicate an individual page for each person needing a voice so their TRUTH can be told. (I promise, all will be made clear very soon.)

Please forgive the long-winded intro. Simply put, I have chosen to bring TRUTH and FACTS to light with my special FIRECRACKER brand in the broad pursuit of JUSTICE. (“Broad pursuit” because Justice encompasses a lot of areas philosophically, morally, legally, etc.)

I am a mother, a daughter, a sister and more.

I have been a legal professional for nearly 20 years and lately, a passionate political and civil rights activist. I own a litigation support and consulting company which held all of my attention until the first of several catalyst events in late 2022 tearing my world and life completely asunder.

Without question, the Catalyst that set me on my path today was my near complete breakdown – spiritually and psychologically – almost causing me to take my own life on November 14, 2023, in utter hopelessness as I watched my mother painfully dying, but needlessly suffering emotionally as well, a collateral casualty of the prior year’s litigation I had been forced into as a consequence of the illegal and (to put it mildly) foolish actions taken against me by quite a few others.

Of course, a mom never ceases parenting with love while she is alive with children. So, heartbreakingly, admirably and in obvious effort to shield us kids from that additional pain, my mom would bravely put on a smile to mask her suffering and rasped, “It will all be okay.” (Yes, it will; though it still is not.)  As a mom, I knew what she was doing each time, and I was grateful for her final tender lessons about life.

My suffering finally culminated with her passing on December 6, 2023, having never seen her grandchildren again since my own hospitalization in February despite all of my vigorous and wasted efforts to secure their return to me beforehand from the clutches of the scumbags who kidnapped them while I was recovering from traumatic brain injuries. That crime was compounded by their secure of a fraudulent default temporary orders by Harris County District Court Judge, Angela Lancelin who granted them sole custody of my children. Not only was that default fraudulently obtained, but it has also now been MORE THAN A YEAR that I have been deprived of my children. Moreover, I am their only living parent. The facts of my story really are the stuff of bad movies and dime store novels.

Inevitably, I arrived at the decision that I needed to take extreme actions. Acutely aware of just how gross a miscarriage of justice these events were from my legal background, I uniquely understood the response necessitated more than just a fight back. With absolute resolve in bringing to justice the criminals and their agents who had brought this terribleness upon us, I began to do just that – from every possible angle, including by my renewed political activism dormant since before COVID. I also decided the time had come to burn it all down, metaphorically speaking of course.

I suppose I had some vague notion of perhaps one day effecting a bigger, better change – perhaps through legislative or judiciary action, so I got to work. Call it luck or call it divine fate, on my first or second day back on social media in nearly a year, I happened to see Joe Inocencio’s (literally) just announced Democratic candidacy for election as Harris County Sheriff in 2024.

Again, call it luck or call it divine fate, but for reasons I cannot explain, I immediately reached out to him expressing an interest in learning more about him. I swear, I was really only kidding when I jokingly said during our first phone call, “As your volunteer campaign manager…” We both laughed and he indulged my invite to a Family Violence fundraiser a few days later. I did not really expect anything to come from it particularly since our professional paths were unlikely to cross again, but we certainly hit it off enough as kindred spirits eager to effect positive changes to our broken justice system.

It’s funny…being only recently acquainted and certainly because he is a respected lawman, I always consciously endeavored to carry myself with absolute professionalism during our few interactions. I guess my spirited nature could not be concealed from his keen observation and professional edge. Long story short, after delivering his yard signs to my property, I got the text from Joe that inarguably changed my life forever (instantly and exponentially for the better) calling me Firecracker🧨and his campaign manager. ❤️‍🔥 That was on January 14th.

I do not have adequate words to describe the life shift for me. My life not only changed forever, but I have been catapulted into this new life, this new stratosphere. I am forever humbled and grateful for the opportunity and the amazing new friends I have – in Joe and his wife – and certainly via the events that followed from intensified political activism restarted with Joe. By this, I know in my deepest core that it was Divine Fate.
