Texas Orders Ocwen to Cease and Desist, then Settles with PayOff

Ocwen, a residential mortgage servicer in Texas was ordered to cease and desist by the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending.

Why are all Servicers and Foreclosure Mills centrally based in Addison, the Foreclosure City of Texas? BDF are also Addison.

The second-largest residential mortgage servicer in Texas that isn’t a bank was ordered to cease and desist by the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending.

Ocwen Financial is leasing 137,992 square feet in Addison, about 78,413 square feet in Lewisville until 2015 and 36,382 square feet in Houston.

Is Abbott only interested in fines to replenish his Office funds? What about the homeowners?

Ocwen settled this dispute, after Abbott threatened them clearly with the subpoena legislature, to get funds into his Texas office.  The sad part is that none of the homeowners are seeing any financial assistance from Texas and to top it off, Abbott them vetoes a ruling that would have limited mortgage servicers. It appears that money is the interest, not the homeowners of Texas. Quite sad.
