JAMES L. FRANKLIN, TEXAS LAWYER (NOT ELIGIBLE TO PRACTICE LAW IN TX)

The only Texas Lawyer named similar in HOUSTON is not eligible to practice law, so it raises the questions as to PJ’s background checks before hiring “Jimmy Franklin”. Also, his complaint doesn’t even list a residential address for Franklin. All very strange. We’ll be tracking this new case seeking a TRO against Franklin (former employee of PJ’s). SMITHSON: I think I found the discrepancy and why service has not been obtained. Compare the below bar member’s info to the service address in the TRO application.

LIT: We have the wrong lawyer’s Bar profile. Now, with the correct lawyer’s Bar profile, the service address is correct on the screenshot you provided when compared to the complaint. This information is now corrected on the article as at Sep 29, 2022. That stated, the case has yet to move past the initial filing in May, and Judge Phillips has failed to issue the standard warning advising the parties the case will be dismissed if there is no movement on the case.
