Pirooz Dadbeh, 57, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, unexpectedly, on Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend to many.

He was born on September 17, 1961, in Tehran, Iran, the son of Mohammed and Farkhzanan Hojati Dadbeh. He attended school in Tehran until he was 13 years old. He left to attend high school at Christ College in Blackheath, England, and after graduation, at age 17, his journey to the United States began. He came to America in 1978 to attend the University of Akron where he majored in Physics.

He left Ohio to come to Houston, Texas, where he attended school to become an EMT.

He worked for many years as an EMT and continued to pursue his education to finally become a licensed paramedic after getting his Associate Degree in Applied Science from Lone Star College- North Harris. Although his career was as a paramedic, it was more than just a job for him. It was a calling for which he was truly gifted. He worked for several local EMS services in Houston and the surrounding areas, but his career started with Harris County Emergency Corps, which always held a special place in his heart. He gained many lifelong friends while working in the medical field.

Pirooz was also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Oilers, and then Houston Texans. He loved the Cleveland Indians and Manchester United. He was also had the amazing skill to debate and carry on a good discussion. With 3 of his dear friends, Dr. John Hammond, Rocky Kurchek, and Phil Hayes, he helped begin a Model United Nations program for high school students at Kent State Ashtabula known as KSUMUN. It later became LEIMUN (Lake Erie International Model United Nations) which included both high school and college conferences yearly. He participated in this organization for over 30 years. During this time, he made many lifelong friends and influenced many young people with his caring nature, thirst for learning, and being a mentor.

It is without a doubt, that above all else, he loved his family. He was the proud father of his son, Micah John Firooz Dadbeh, and his daughter, Alexis Merriman Dadbeh. He was a dedicated father who put the needs of his children before his own. He made his children his first priority and actively participated in their lives. He supported their hobbies, educations, and dreams. He never missed the important events in their lives and birthdays were huge celebrations.

His best friend, throughout his life, was his older brother, Behrooz. They would travel back to their home country, Iran, and spend time with family for various occasions. He loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own.

Pirooz was proud of his Iranian heritage, but cherished being an United State Citizen. He became a naturalized citizen on December 15, 1994. His most valued citizenship, though, would come on June 9, 1995. He grew up as a Muslim, but he chose Christ as his Lord and Savior and now his home is in Heaven.

Pirooz is survived by his mother Farkhzanan, his son Micah John, daughter Alexis, and brother, Behrooz and wife, Deborah. He leaves behind four nieces, Samira, Sogol, Selina, and Somaya, and two nephews, Elijah and Johnathan as well as two great nephews and a great niece.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Mohammed, and oldest brother, Shahrooz.

Pirooz was blessed to have many friends and wonderful colleagues, and he will be missed dearly.
