Matt Carver is the firm’s managing partner. He began his practice as a commercial litigator. After several years, his practice broadened to include general corporate representation. He utilizes his litigation experience in representation of the business interests of the firm’s clients. In the last few years, he has spent a significant amount of his time assisting small information technology companies in everyday matters, much like a corporate general counsel. These experiences have allowed Mr. Carver to gain experience in various intellectual property areas such as software development and licensing agreements, as well as non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements and other similar employment-related matters. Mr. Carver joined the firm in 1992 after graduating from South Texas College of Law.

Outside of the office, Mr. Carver enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and tries to find the time to hunt, fish, golf, and travel with his family

Danny focuses his practice on business litigation and commercial disputes and has more than a decade of experience litigating cases from trial through appeal. He has extensive first chair jury and non-jury trial and arbitration experience from both the plaintiff and defense sides of cases in state and federal court.

Danny’s cases have involved a wide range of commercial issues including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, deceptive trade practices, bankruptcy adversaries, product liability, construction disputes, intellectual property, employment disputes, real estate and oil and gas litigation. Danny has been recognized as a Top Houston Lawyer by H Texas magazine in the area of civil litigation.

Danny received his B.A. from Baylor University in 1999 and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2002. He is admitted in all federal districts in Texas as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Danny is also a qualified mediator.

Chris Matulis is an associate attorney with Crady Jewett McCulley & Houren. He joined the firm in 2022 and practices in the litigation group where he primarily represents clients in general commercial litigation including business litigation, construction litigation, employment litigation and real estate disputes. Chris has also assisted in handling commercial collections, intellectual property claims, toxic torts, and business transactions.

Prior to joining CJMH, Chris was an associate attorney in the litigation group of a Louisiana based law firm. Chris also played baseball for LSU and was a member of the 2009 National Championship team. Between undergrad and law school, he pitched professionally in the Milwaukee Brewers’ system.

Kendall is a partner in the firm’s litigation practice group. Kendall focuses her practice on complex business disputes and commercial litigation. Kendall has extensive experience preparing cases for jury and non-jury trials in both state and federal court including drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, and deposing witnesses.  Kendall has also handled a number of appeals on a variety of issues in both state and federal court. Because of her appellate experience and her experience clerking at the Texas Supreme Court following law school, she is also often involved in the preparation of motions for summary judgment and the preparation of the jury charge in advance of trial.

Kendall’s cases have involved a wide variety of commercial litigation issues including partnership disputes and general breach of contract matters; construction litigation; real estate and oil and gas litigation; and employment litigation, including trade secret and noncompete litigation and defense of FLSA wage and hour claims.

Kendall received her Juris Doctor Summa Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in 2014. While in law school, Kendall represented South Texas as a varsity advocate in several national moot court tournaments. Kendall graduated second in her class and was also a member of South Texas Law Review.  Kendall graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with honors. Prior to joining the firm, Kendall clerked for Justice John Devine on the Texas Supreme Court.
