WATSON, KEVIN vs. MATRIX FINANCIAL SERVICES CORPORATION
(Court 152, JUDGE ROBERT K. SCHAFFER)
MAY 6, 2024 | REPUBLISHED BY LIT: MAY 16, 2024
We’ll all just let this case percolate and hopefully not draw attention – signed, Judge Schaffer
Despite Hinshaw answering the complaint for Matrix, it has remained dormant ever since. The loan was in the name of deceased David Black and now his spouse Kevin Watson is claiming he’s the direct decedent. He’s also claiming he’s been paying the mortgage after Black died but ran into financial difficulty during COVID.
However, there’s no legal changes noted in HCAD or Harris County real property records to reflect the update in ownership, assignment of loan, release of loan, loan modification or foreclosure.
