A Texas Senator and a Texas Representative are different positions in the Texas state government. Texas has 31 senators and 150 representatives in the state legislature, known as the Texas Legislature. Senators serve 4-year terms and represent larger districts compared to Representatives, who serve 2-year terms and represent smaller districts. Both the Texas Senate and the Texas House of Representatives play important roles in making and passing laws for the state of Texas.
